Aniello Longobardi srl, established in 1927 for the export of fresh fruit and vegetables, was transformed into an agricultural produce processing industry in 1963 upon the death of founder Aniello, by his sons Enrico, Gaetano and Carlo. Today the management is entrusted to the new generation of the Longobardi family, which has total control.
It was born in Scafati, in the province of Salerno, in the cradle of Agro Nocerino Sarnese, an area characterized since the beginning of the century by intensive tomato cultivation. Great family commitment and decades of experience make Longobardi a historic company today, a leader in the tomato canning industry.
Making use of the most modern technologies in its production plant, with a team of food technologists constantly present at every stage of processing to ensure compliance with all regulatory parameters in the food field, with its Logistics Depot not far from the production site, its well-equipped in-house laboratory and hundreds of employees during the peak production period, since 1963 Aniello Longobardi has been making an excellent, unmistakable product for lovers of genuineness and a particularly demanding clientele.
Aniello Longobardi’s production is geared exclusively to tomatoes and all their derivatives. There are many proposals, but they all have in common the high quality of the product resulting from the skillful combination of three factors: careful selection of raw materials, use of state-of-the-art technology and constant control of production by qualified in-house technical staff. This results in Whole Peeled Tomatoes, Chopped Tomatoes, Tomato Purees and sauces with or without flavorings, available in all types of formats, in tinplate or glass to preserve the best organoleptic quality of the product over time
A keen and constantly watchful eye on markets and changing consumer needs enables the company to produce a wide variety of Ready-made Sauces. The sauces, made and tested in the company’s well-equipped in-house quality laboratory, are prepared from the finest ingredients and are genuine, homemade-like, with the possibility of customizing each recipe and contain no preservative additives, as are all the products made by the company.
LONGOBARDI has obtained the AGCM Competition and Market Authority’s Legality Rating (score: ★★+ ) for the application of its high principles of ethical behavior in business.
A 250 kWp photovoltaic plant is operational in Longobardi to produce clean, greenhouse gas-free energy and reduce CO2 into the atmosphere.
Longobardi is the winner of the “Agrisolar Park” call for bids issued by GSE (Gestore dei Servizi Energetici GSE S.p.A.) to increase the capacity of the photovoltaic plant by an additional 120 kWp.
