The company policy is strongly oriented towards the primary Quality of its products. In order to pursue ever-higher results and as a testament to its work, since 1997 Aniello Longobardi has chosen to voluntarily certify itself in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality standards – recognized worldwide – for the management of its corporate quality system. Since then, the company has implemented and keeps constantly updated an HACCP self-control system to ensure the hygienic and sanitary conformity of its productions and has voluntarily certified itself to both the BRC Global Standard and the IFS Food, specific for food safety in large-scale retail trade.

For those who love alternative lifestyles, the entire range of products from organic farming (which exploits the natural fertility of the soil, favoring it with limited interventions, promotes the biodiversity of the environment in which it operates and excludes the use of synthetic chemicals and Genetically Modified Organisms, GMOs) is available. For this purpose, the farm is periodically inspected by CCPB, Consortium for the Control of Organic Products (Control Body code: IT BIO 009), in accordance with EU Reg. 848/2018 with the issuance of a certificate of conformity and is certified BioSuisse Organic (International Certification Bio Suisse).

The Company Aniello Longobardi s.r.l. protects and guarantees the hygienic-sanitary safety of its productions, storage and handling sites of food goods in accordance with the “hygiene package,” as per Regulations 852-853/2004/EC and subsequent additions.

The Haccp self-certification implemented since 1997 by the Organization and included in the ISO 9001, BRC Global Standard Food and IFS Food standards, provides:

  • Definition of a Haccp self-control manual (our ref. MH01 in updated Rev.);
  • Establishment of specific HACCP plans (with identification of hazards related to the activity carried out at all stages, from cultivation fields to customer delivery, process CCP critical points, corrective measures, etc.) that illustrate controls aimed at preventing hazards;
  • Periodic sanitation training programs for permanent and seasonal staff;
  • Periodic internal and external inspections to ascertain the efficiency of established HACCP plans;

All documentation related to HACCP self-control is continuously updated by the company’s in-house technical team, and compliance with HACCP requirements is periodically checked by the relevant agencies (private and otherwise).

Necessary ingredient/product traceability and tracing procedures have also been put in place in accordance with Regulation 178/2002/EC to ensure rapid and efficient management of nonconformities and/or food emergencies throughout the product production and distribution cycle, and the production batch is reported by us on the sales unit as well as on the commercial sales documents.

The company Aniello Longobardi s.r.l, on the basis of the certifications on the seeds used by agricultural producers, issued by the Tomato Conferring Associations for their members, guarantees that all the products it produces come from tomato seeds obtained by traditional hybridization techniques that have not undergone genetic alteration processes or cloning techniques and, therefore, are not derived from genetically modified organisms (GMOs) nor do they contain GMO ingredients.

The company’s “Social Responsibility,” or the integration of social and ethical concerns into the management of the company and its business relations with its customers/suppliers, is a fundamental tool for ensuring the development of the company’s business that takes social needs into account, for the purpose of the company’s competitiveness. The Company is therefore committed, in particular, to:

  • Comply (even if only under self-certification) with all requirements of the SA 8000 regulation and all those otherwise subscribed to by the company, in order to promote the defense of human rights, ensure the protection of health and safety in the workplace, prevent and/or combat all forms of discrimination.
  • Do not use or support the use of child labor.
  • Do not encourage or support forced and compulsory labor.
  • Ensure a healthy and safe working environment.
  • Respect the right of workers to join unions.
  • Do not engage in any kind of discrimination.
  • Do not use or support disciplinary practices, such as corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion, verbal abuse.
  • Adjust working hours to national and local laws and agreements.
  • Pay employees by complying with the national labor contract and the company supplement, if any.
  • Evaluate, select and monitor suppliers, including compliance with legal requirements, and to direct them to a management policy that takes human rights into account to a greater extent, influencing their behavior and increasing their ethical-social quality.
